Last Saturday it rained here in Copenhagen. Now my basement is dry, traffic is normal again, (my) video(s) and photos are online and I found the time to look up the statistics.
The average precipitation for the month of July is 68 mm in Copenhagen, Denmark. The record precipitation for July is 140 mm, recorded in 1931.
Last Saturday's downpour gave 150 mm in 1½ hours.

SourceOur temperature average is about 1.5 degrees Celcius higher now than in 1870. The warmer air contains more moisture, thus allows for more extreme incidents of precipitation. Average yearly precipitation has risen by about 100 mm and extreme events become more common. This development is in agreement with climate models.
